Crescere

Crescere is a concrete, sculptural chair that forces the viewer to question what it would feel like to sit in it.   
I cast the chair from a custom recipe of cement, sand, pumice, and lava rock to optimize for a lightweight, yet structural material.  To reinforce the part of the chair that are in tension, their is bent rebar cast into the structure.   Both molds were constructed out of melamine and pink foam.
